There are forty communities including the most well-known Victoria Square, Markham Village, Unionville, Buttonville, Thornhill and Cachet. New development has sprung up everywhere including Milliken Mills East and West, Berczy, Markville, Raymerville and Wismer. Older homes are being replaced by newer, larger ones in many locations, especially in the older traditional Thornhill communities close to Yonge Street.
