Aurora has always been an attractive destination for York Region and Toronto real estate buyers and sellers. Nestled between Richmond Hill to the south and Newmarket to the north, it is easily within reach of major highways, and of course straddles desirable Yonge Street. With the population increase, growth northwards along Yonge Street has produced a robust community with different types of housing and a great industrial and commercial base for the expanding infrastructure requirements. Home prices have gone through the roof as they have in other municipalities, and do not show any signs of slowing down. Communities such as Bayview Wellington, Bayview Northeast and Bayview Southeast are prominent with new quality homes of different types and styles. Even Rural Aurora can no longer be considered rural, as land development and home sales continue to grow. There are now more detached homes, luxury homes, townhomes and linked homes to attract buyers in every price range. New condominium projects along Yonge Street are, also, erupting to help support the provincial Viva bus routes with ridership. Aurora is a town in transition, but one which has never lost its charm and dignity through housing expansion and population growth.
