Crosby History: Crosby Avenue was named after Isaac Crosby who was a general store owner known as The Fire Proof and also a councillor of the Town of Richmond Hill during the 1860's to the 1890's. The Crosby's lived in the "Crosby Hall", which was built in 1863 and is designated a Hisroric Home in Richmond Hill.
Newkirk Business Park is home to commercial and industrial sector. Many of landowners and farmers were businessman as well, such as Parker Crosby, Amos Wright, James Kerswell. Their name are still remembered by the street named after them.
